Friday 01/05/2020 05:30 Couch to 5k Week 9-1
Another damp morning for the first run of the last week.
5 minute warm up walk, then run for 30 minutes straight, then a 5 minute cooldown walk. A slow plodding start up to the halfway point which is mostly uphill, I find the second half of the run (the return leg) easier/refreshing. Maybe because there are more downhill stretches.
Sunday 3rd May 06:00 Strength and Flexibility Week 5
Can now perform all repetitions of all exercises and some I can do extras (pull ups, squats)
The old man is rooting through the bins and filling a black bag with “stuff” from the bin again
Monday 4th May 06:00 Couch to 5k Week 9-2 Workout 26/27
A dry but overcast morning.
A good steady run uphill to and past the half way point then turned around and ran back.
Only 1 run to go!

My final run of the couch to 5k
I did a factory reset on my phone yesterday as it was running really slow and the storage was full.
What I didn’t realise was that when I re-installed the Couch to 5k app all my progress was lost.
Luckily it let me skip to run 27/27!

I found it a bit of a slog, but managed to finish the final run ok.
I was expecting more bells and whistles from the app when I finished the final run, but all I got was the usual “Well done, now cool down for 5 minutes” only. A bit of an anti-climax.
Still great to finally reach my goal, whoop, whoop, whoop!
